A Holistic Approach.

We also know that incidents in the workplace lead to a huge amount of stress related illness, so how well you and your team will be able deal with an incident is critical. If an incident isn’t handled appropriately then this can significantly impact staff morale, mental health and have financial implications.

When things go wrong, there are lots of things your team must do. Giving first aid is only one part, your team need to be able to follow your incident and emergency procedures effectively too. That’s why at Tirio we build our training around your procedures and typical workplace. This boosts confidence and ensures people know exactly what you need them to do.

Pragmatic, Practical and Fun

First Aid is a serious matter, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun whilst learning! We keep things simple and light – no Greek words or gory details!  What’s more we encourage as much hands-on learning as possible too!

Simply Bespoke

Tirio First Aid Courses are designed to be delivered in a modular format and as such better adapt to your needs. HSE expect that companies and organisations undertake a ‘needs assessment’ to determine the first aid training that is required, this should consider, amongst other things:

• Previous accidents, incidents and near misses.

• Risk Assessments.

• Lone Working Implications.

• Numbers of Personnel.

This means that ‘off the shelf’ first aid training doesn’t necessarily meet the needs of organisations who do non-typical jobs. This typically leads to additional time spent covering topics that aren’t relevant or, worse still, not covering those that are.

Our approach means that we can quickly agree a fully compliant programme that directly meets your exact needs. Demonstrating your ‘needs assessment’ and focussing on relevant skills, minimising training time and maximising value for money.

Task: Bespoke Course Design.

Location: Madagascar Expedition

Client: International Scouting Support Unit (ISSU)

Develop 2 bespoke First Aid Courses for 24 young persons and 12 leaders who are taking part in the Mad25 Scouting Expedition to Madagascar.  The 1-day course for young persons needed to be upbeat, empowering and confidence boosting. Keeping it real

Our First Aid courses follow a common-sense approach and build on those skills that outdoor professionals already have.  With that in mind we recognise that equipment is generally limited in the outdoor environment and so, the course will focus on reaching the highest standards of casualty care whilst using the minimum of equipment; a small first aid kit and typical outdoor gear and equipment that you will have available to you. We encourage all our students to ‘do the simple but important things well’ and as such we will endeavour to keep medical terminology and gadgets to the minimum.

All our courses have been built upon 4 pillars:

• Good Practice

• Appropriate Skills

• Easy to Remember

• Focus on Adaptable Principles
